Where do you celebrate when you’re the kings of college football? Hint: Not Disney World.
If you’re in Miami, that would be E11EVEN, the 305’s hottest nightclub, naturally. After beating the Hurricanes 27-21 in the CFP national championship game at Hard Rock Stadium, the Indiana University Hoosiers made their way to the so called ultraclub. What time did the team arrive? Why does that matter? E11EVEN is open 24 hours a day. Footage shared to social media showed the guys, despite being battered and bruised, had quite a time and seemed to be feeling no pain.
As Queen’s “We are the Champions” blasts over the speakers, exotic dancers march through the venue with sparklers inside champagne bottles as confetti rains down. Someone holds up a sign that says “National Flippin’ Champs.” The players, including megastar quarterback Fernando Mendoza, sway and mouth along to the iconic lyrics: “Bad mistakes, I’ve made a few/I’ve had my share of sand kicked in my face but I’ve come through, and I mean to go on, and on, and on, and on.”
The Hoosiers then begin to chant the chorus in unison: “We are the champions, we are the champions/No time for losers/‘Cause we are the champions of the world!” Not so long ago, athletes from a different sport (hockey) partied hard at E11EVEN after their back-to-back Stanley Cup victories. The Florida Panthers reportedly racked up a $500,000 bar tab during the tequila-fueled bash at the 20,000-square-foot downtown Miami hot spot.
We reached out to club reps, and didn’t immediately hear back about what the Hoosiers imbibed or how much was spent (or comped). But we were given the awesome nugget about the set list.
